Kamargaon College has a well-defined mission and vision and the governance of the institution reflects it lucidly. The institution adheres to participative and decentralized management practices in which all stakeholders are taken into confidence and consulted for decision making. The college maintains transparency
in utilization of funds and resources. The college follows its perspective plan and makes efforts to implement it at the desired level. The college has initiated e-governance almost in all spheres including admission, DHE communication, Affiliating University communication, financial transactions and so on. The institution has also adopted welfare measures for teaching and non-teaching employees through various measures. Teaching and non-teaching staff have been continuously encouraged to participated in FDP//STP/OC/RC and other such professional development programmes. The institution has evaluated the performance of the teaching and nonteaching staff as per laid down guidelines of the DHE, Assam and Govt. of Assam. Various cells/committees/clubs have constituted to deal with different matters and ensure progress in all spheres. The IQAC has contributed substantially in academic and co-curricular areas by promoting numerous activities and adopting various measures. For ensuring quality, the IQAC has adopted feedback mechanism, and follow-up actions have been taken for redressal for improvement of scenario. The IQAC also organises various extension activities for local people and nearby schools in association with various organisations/bodies.
Kamargaon College has various cells like women cell and Anti Sexual Harassment cell which promote gender equity through awareness programmes inside and outside the campus. The college has a green and clean campus and emphasises on use of alternate energy sources. The college maintains its policies in managing and disposing degradable and non-degradable waste materials and have promoted e-rickshaw and cycles. Besides these, the institution through various cells/committees/clubs have undertaken plantation and cleanliness drives at nearby schools, adopted village and Kamargaon locality for a green and sustainable future. Efforts have been made to make the campus differently abled friendly. The institution fosters tolerance, regional, communal and
linguistic harmony for a shared future and mutual understanding. The institution has outreached nearby villages and schools in an extensive manner and promoted environmental protection through plantation, street play, awareness programme and so on. The institution has promoted sports as a distinctive area and students are encouraged and sent to participate in various competitions.
